I know of no specific contraindications to the individual herbs in MMP, but

depression often comes along with hypothyroidism--even sub-clinical---and in

that case, you might want to use MM instead and leave out the fenugreek.

Not sure what the contraindication is to fenugreek with depression....have not read that it exacerbates it -- has that been your experience?

My point was that if the mother is hypothyroid, then fenugreek MAY not be her

best choice. There is some evidence, although not conclusive, that fenugreek

seed (in capsules) might inhibit conversion of T3 to T4. And there is also

evidence it might inhibit Fe absorption. I doubt these issues would be problems

in moms with healthy guts, but someone with depression doesn't have a healthy

gut.
