Guest guest
Hi Sandy, I don’t have any thyroid advice as I’m still learning but have you ever checked your Estradiol level? (not total Estrogen). You are on all the hormones but Estradiol. This could be part of your lack of energy. So many drs are afraid of Estrogen and then put women on Progesterone and they don’t do well. It might be worth a look see. DHEA can also be problematic. I’ve been reading more and more that first we must get the adrenals and the thyroid happy, then work on the sex hormones if necessary. Just my thoughts. I was diagnosed with Hypo-thyroid when I was 25 just after the birth of my first child. 8 years later, I was finally given the diagnoses of Hashimoto's by an endocrinologist. 6 months ago, I started visiting a Bio-identical hormone doctor. At that time, I was taking levoxyl, cytomel, provigil ( for energy ) and an anti-depressant. He has transitioned me to several bio-identical hormones and weaned me off all other medications. I have also had my addrenals glands tested, and food allergy test. I am more exhausted now that ever. I am on a vitamin regimen for the addrenal glands. I take dessicated thyroid supplement, DHEA, Progesterone, and testosterone. Any insight or advice any one might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. I am just so tired and I have 2 children to care for. Thanks! Sandy Perkins
