....Wanted to say " Hi all " .

I was recently diagnosed with Chiari I, after almost a year of

complaining of severe headaches (at 46 yrs old). I already have a

plethora of info - and lots of questions for you guys. So I think I'll

lurk around long enough to read posts - kinda' get the feel of the place

- then I can bombard you all with what will probably amount to mostly

stupid questions.

In the meantime, I'm happy to share my experience, thus far, with you

all...

   For 32 years I just simply told people that the big scar on my neck was there

because I had brain surgery at age 17 (1974)  then in 2006 I got a name for it

Chiari.

  I began getting on the computer after a friend brought some info. on Chiari

which led me to this Great Group of people.There is no stupid questions Chiari

is a complex problem but

there are many people who understand don't hesitate to ask anything.

Chiari Surgery 1974 (age 17) : My NS considered it a Chiari II;I have always

considered it was a Success.I knew little to nothing about Chiari until May of

2006
