Guest guest
Hi bb hope to cu in delhi on 5th !! Vinchi Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device Fw: KBC                                 Who doesn’t know about KBC! KBC….. Kaun Banega Crorepati. This programme is universally liked, especially when we have the debonair Amitabh Bachchan as the host. Winning here is both an achievement and a matter of envy. And the amount is Rs 5 crore. Not a small amount by any standard. Amitabh keeps repeating to the participants: “Dekhte hain aap yahan se kya le kar jaate hain.†He wishes them well in his rich voice: “Hum asha karte hain ki aap ek bari rakam jeet kar jayen.†So what can really make a man rich in KBC?  People who sit opposite Amitabh are expected to have good knowledge. Many of them are certainly impressive with the information they pack their brains with. It is remarkable that some of them are able to home on to the right answer even in the maze that mythology is with so much ease. A sharp instinct certainly helps. Analytical skills enable one to get the correct answer by exclusion. Confidence also is important because there have been participants who had to leave because they were uncertain despite knowing the right answer.  It is amusing to see everybody so effusive when they meet Amitabh. The women particularly act coy with him. Most probably, everyone comes prepared with rehearsed lines, so evident from their propensity to turn into poets. Such behavior is not unexpected when one has to face Amitabh for the first time. His charismatic presence can make a person slightly euphoric.  I watched the episode where Sushil Kumar won Rs 5 crore. Imagine a man barely able to earn a living acquiring substantial wealth! It must have been an out-of-the-world feeling for him. I realized KBC can also mean something else. ‘Kismat Banayegi Crorepati’ can be the other form of KBC. Out of the millions who try, only a very few are called over. It is not easy even after that. The ‘fastest finger’ takes one to the hot seat; so clarity and speed of the mind matters here. In this case, Sushil missed an opportunity earlier because he could not list the mentioned places in the right order. Again, he faltered when he did not know what a processor in a computer is–surprising for a computer operator. Yet he went on to win Rs 5 crore. Clearly, his luck propelled him to unimaginable success and instant fame. Lastly, his self-belief, his humility and the anxious smile gladdened my heart.  There was humour too, but for the discerning few. Sushil Kumar recognized Laloo Prasad Yadav’s voice when an audio clip was played. Amitabh asked: “Aap sure hain?†Sushil replied confidently: “Hum sure hain, sir.†Amitabh went on: “Laloo Prasad Yadav ko lock karein?†Sushil blurted out an emphatic monosyllable: “Yes.†I wish somebody had locked up Laloo Prasad Yadav long ago for ruining Bihar. Don’t you? Even the cattle wanted this to happen. Bharat
