Guest guest
Has anyone had an older child or adult visit Dr. Kotlow for a revision? My 13 year old has begun orthordontia work and the posterior tongue-tie that I found in the spring while studying for the exam has been officially " diagnosed " . I have some questions about his intake paperwork which says " all children must have their immunizations current " . Please contact me offlist. warm regards, McCormick, BA, LLL, IBCLC
Guest guest
I just had a mom with 3 month old and 18 month old up there this week. He did both. Guest guest
I have had mothers go to Dr K to get their babies' tongues released, and while they were there, having him notice that their older children also had tongue ties. The question of vaccinations never came up in conversation, and I know that many of my clients either do not vaccinate or do so on a modified schedule. normaNorma Ritter, IBCLC, RLCBreastfeeding Matters in the Capital Regionwww.NormaRitter.comJoin us on Facebook for the latest birthing and breastfeeding news and views: http://tinyurl.com/BMCRonFB From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of McSent: Saturday, December 03, 2011 8:01 AMTo: Subject: Dr. Kotlow - for older kids Has anyone had an older child or adult visit Dr. Kotlow for a revision? Guest guest
My 6-yr old just had her lip-tie done, along with some other dental work. He is very to the point and speedy, which I think is great. My daughter did fine and she is all healed up. I asked her about the lazer and she didn't even realize what he was doing, so I guess it was a simple procedure. -Jeannine Has anyone had an older child or adult visit Dr. Kotlow for a revision? Guest guest
I discovered I have a prominent tongue tie and lip tie. I had the lower lip tie clipped during some dental work years ago. I asked recently if my dentist could clip the remaining ties or refer me to someone who could. I was told they would refer me to a speech pathologist (I've been having speech issues which I think is caused by this). One of these days I'm just going to call an ENT in the area to see if I can get them clipped. They cause me a lot of pain too. When I had my lower lip tie clipped it just felt like a pinch and it stung a little for a day or two. Course the periodontist used topical numbing agent while she clipped it.
