I plan to do that in the new year. Many moms find the cost prohibitive and using the recipe is more in reach. Sent from my iPhone I discontinued recommending use of gentian violet a few years ago because of the risk of toxicity. I do recommend virgin coconut oil, and other approaches but no longer gentian.Just my .02.>> Hi Everyone,> > Just yesterday I gave a mom information about Jack Newmans' APNO > cream and was feeling a little jittery about the liability. Trader Joe's now carries organic virgin unrefined coconut oil.  I use it inside and outside of my body all.the.time.  It's a great cooking/baking fat if the mild coconut flavor doesn't overwhelm the recipe.

Well, a yes for here in Ohio. If it is something that you are selling for profit then there is always sales tax. Even if sold for your cost if you paid tax for it elsewhere, there should be tax on it if it will show in your records. At least that is my understanding. If I sell something with no tax I still back price it to show the sales tax and pay it to the state. Like $10.00 would become $9.46 plus .54 tax. When you sell things like that do you have to charge

Sales tax?

In some cases, yes!  It doesn't have the same flavor, of course, and butter has a higher water content, so if the recipe is very delicate it might not work.  It works beautifully in cookies and I agree that popcorn tastes GREAT cooked in coconut oil with a little salt and nutritional yeast if you like that cheesy flavor.

Do you use it in place of butter?
