Family practitioner doing psychotherapy? Medicaid paying for it? I have never

heard of either, at least not in Ohio where I am. I know for a fact that OH

Medicaid does not pay for any psychotherapy, whether done by a psychologist or

an FP.

time I spent re-billing and following up on BCBS first round denials (I don't do

this for fear of homicidal fantasies), I would make more $ per visit with

medicaid by far. They reimburse VERY well for psychotherapy, unlike any other

insurance I've found. The only glitch is that you just have to attend a day

conference on how to bill, because it is a little different...or like I

recommended on the phone - use that biller who should already know this stuff!
