RESPONDING TO:

> I am wondering if anyone had any work done on legs. I had sent an e- mail to

Clinic Esthetica about a year ago and received a response from Love where

she said that they can inject something (have lost the e-mail, don't remember

what exactly it was - Bio-Alcamid?)

I would be surprised if anything would work, as you would have to inject tons of

material over a very wide area.

When Love says " expensive and time consuming, " I would listen. I wonder if

she's saying " bad idea, " between the lines.

Subject: Re: Veiny legs

That sounds complicated, time consuming, expensive, and frankly, dangerous. I

think I would put up with the 'vein's'. I have them, and frankly, they look

hot. I have muscular legs, so the veins, give them a 'bodybuilder' or ripped

look. However, I am assuming you are a man. If you are a woman, this is

probably not as attractive or desirable. Mal.

RESPONSE:

As I posted previously, I packed my car and drove from Houston to Los Angeles to

help at Clinic'estetica. With regard to the legs, it CAN be done -- but it is

very time consuming, would take a huge amount of product and a barrel of money.

I have observed the procedure on veins on the forehead. There we are talking

about 2-3 inches. It took 2 hours the first treatment. VERY carefully, tiny

needles are inserted on either side of the vein to implant product to " lift " the

skin on either side of the vein (thereby making the vein less noticable). As to

it being dangerous, I would suggest that allowing anyone except an individual

skilled with putting substances into ANY part of the body is dangerous. No one

stuck needles into my face until I had spoken (and touched and poked) faces of

others who had had it done to them.

Getting the Scarlet Letter of AIDS off our faces is one thing, and to me it was

an important thing. Having veins like Mal points out that make one look athletic

can be lived with. When I wish to see my arms or legs without veins sticking

out -- I hold the appendage up in the air for a few seconds, and take a quick

look -- It's magic -- it looks normal for a split second! :-)
