Guest guest
hi, short message from me again, the still undiagnosed guy... ~~~ the hepatologist i saw in Madrid ordered tons of blood tests... - i received the raw report (from the lab) a few days ago. From what i can see, still no virus identified (despite high efforts, like virus cultures, etc.), and as i can judge, no big surprises in the blood either, except another drop in Quick (from 85% to 80%) and other low-ish values (but that i knew already in advance) - the *interpretation* of this data (and my old data) by the hepatologist, and his conclusions/recommendations (if any) should arrive in the next days. I will post the info as soon as i have them ~~ Regarding my liver biopsy (thanks Bob for encouraging me to do it), things are finally moving forward. Finally i found a doctor of internal medicine here in Switzerland who agress that liver biopsy is a worthwhile idea for my case. I expect to get the appointment for biopsy within the next 2-3 weeks. and the result will then take another 1 or 2 weeks i guess. So, this means a fair deal of waiting again, but i am used to that already. i have decided to take holidays during the waiting time. Office buddies seem to tolerate it. They look at me and simply *see* that i am not looking healthy. A simple intuition, which some docs simply seem to have lost. ~~~ I hope you are all doing reasonably well i think even at the so called " later " stages of liver disease, we should not forget about this nice capability of the body in general and the liver in particular: to get better, to regenerate. At least there is always a small potential for that in us thanks for listenig & kind regards! Joachim
Guest guest
It's great that they agreed to do the biopsy. Now maybe you will finally have an answer. Keep in touch and let us know. In the meantime take care of yourself.
