Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Hope you are all feeling good today. I went back on the metho a couple of weeks ago. The Rheumy took the blood test and sure enough I am in trouble again with the liver test. We have to drop the dosage again. He will probably take me off it for good. Thinks are so bad with the metho. I know he will want me to go on Remicade. I have been holding off doing that, just in case I needed more stomach surgery. It is so frustrating. I was really hoping the metho would work this time since it was such a lower dosage. It is funny I took it for years with no problems and all of a sudden trouble. I am frustrated today with all this and just thought I would share. Hope you are all well, Lynn MeMom
Guest guest
I am so sorry to hear that, Lynn. I'll hope that the lower dosage brings you relief and leaves your liver alone! Guest guest
Thanks , I am so disappointed with this. I was hoping to stay on the metho. Well just have to see how the next set of tests come out. Lynn (MeMom) wrote: > I am so sorry to hear that, Lynn. Guest guest
lynn i am so sorry you have to give up the mtx. i hope you do well on the next choice! my thoughts and prayers are with you. mtx has given me a chance at life again. i was talking with my friend with ms that had neck surgery this year. she seemed to understand my triumphs and fear too. ( what happens when i have to stop taking this?) it hasn't happened yet, but all the others ended. will i be able to work? i only have one extra month rent. some of these people here have had their homes for sale for 3 years. you have to pay the lot rent until the home sells or get it off the property. where would i put it?? i try to keep a positive attitude and these thoughts are not constant. but it does worry me. kathy in il
Guest guest
Hi Kathy, I am so sorry it took so long for me to answer your note. Thank you for sending it to me. I am going to ask about increasing the folic acid I take. I know I have read here that increasing the folic acid can help liver function test. I am just so frustrated and on top of it all, all the pain I had before the surgery is back. Well I guess I should have expected it, they told me it could happen again. I also found out the a lot of my anxiety and restlessness was definitely coming from the reglan I was taking. I thought that was the problem and stopped taking it on my own. The Dr. told me never to take it again. It is all so frustrating but I am trying to be positive. Guest guest
Lynn, I'm so sorry the pain is back. You've been through so much and had such hopes that the surgery would be the answer. Did the doctor say if anything could be done if the pain came back? a > Hi Kathy, > I am so sorry it took so long for me to answer your note. Thank you for > sending it to me. Guest guest
Hi a, She told me it is good that I have no bile taste. For now she is not going to call to. She seemed concerned but not overly. I know when I was in the hospital the intern told me, once they operate on a person the way they have me, they will always have to go back in. You know I crave anything with acid in it. I am going to mention this to her. I will eat whole big pickles or just a plate of tomato sauce. Of course that is all I can eat. I got the new medicine to push the food out of the pouch. It has a lot of possible side effects so I am going easy with it. I knew this could happen again but I so hoped it wouldn't. I told her, I do not want to called and I don't want to go back to him. Right now I am just going to pray. I am wondering if the acid food could be part of it. The pcp told me, I crave acid because there isn't any in the pouch. He wasn't surprised by it at all. Thank you for your note. How are you feeling. I can not believe there are winter weather warnings up tonight for tomorrow. I thought spring was here and got my sandals out. How silly am I. I am also very upset about Debs, as I am such everyone is. Hope she can pull through this one. Lynn a wrote: > Lynn, > I'm so sorry the pain is back. Guest guest
Lynn, Would digestive enzymes help digest your food? Here is an article that tells about them: http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag99/apr99-cover.html I wouldn't take them without asking your doctor. Yes I can't believe this weather. It's the pits. I can't believe it's snowing in April. Today I just couldn't get warm. Sleet hitting the windows sure doesn't make me warm and fuzzy. I too am very worried about Debs. I am praying for her to have the strength to fight this. She's been through so much. a > Hi a, > She told me it is good that I have no bile taste. For now she is not going > to > call to.
