But when it arrived yesterday I was bowled over by how great it is. And that is before I have even read i thoroughly! It is visually stunning. Guest guest
I can't work out if they are - but if so - so what?! I know - odd choice if it is...still the pictures throughout are amazing - my UK friend got hers today and remarked on how inviiting it is - she is a newbie - hasn't even really started yet - but this is a great intro and even if someone has been mb for years would still get tons out of it. but on the non macro items I think I even saw milk - in one recipe as an option but the rest of the book is through and through mb in every way. seigman wrote: But hey! Guest guest
I purchased a macro book off ebay sight unseen...the calendar cookbook, I believe? From the Vega Center? It has a roast turkey recipe in it for Thanksgiving. And fried chicken and mashed potatoes? I about fell out of my chair. I just didn't expect that from Cornellia Aihara... Guest guest
Hi , I have had a copy of the book for a bit from Simon to do a review of it. I think it is really fantastic too. The book will be out in December with a US publisher. Simon’s wife Dragana Brown wrote the Karma Cookbook with Boy , and it had the same stunning style of photography like this one too. There is a recipe that from the Karma cookbook up on CyberMacro for deep fried tofu with black sesame seeds and it is my favorite for that. Works great in a sandwich with fresh sauerkraut. Guest guest
Two years ago I gave cybermacro a redesign, and had someone create a new banner for me, the one below. Enough people commented on the banner with the nightshades that I just had enough, and commissioned a new one. Guest guest
Hi Reggie, The funny thing with the macrobiotic groups is that you would expect that mentioning that you sell macrobiotic things in them would generate a certain response out of the people, like with one book I sell that gets mentioned in them. What it all translates to is far less than you would imagine. But I am not saying that there could be exceptions to that, so if I knew that 20 people would definitely want to purchase Simon’s book, I would order them in now before they are published in the US. Mind you though that with the dollar versus the pound, they are going to be pricy. Amazon.com UK has them at 40% off the cover price, so with shipping, the cost is a bit over $26.00. My cost is going to be similar. Now it gets interesting as if you think 40% off the cover price is a good deal on a book, how does 62% off the cover price sound to you! The book has a cover price of 12.99 British pounds but you can get the book from Ebay Australia for just 4.99 pounds! $19.00 with postage coming from the UK. So what I am really saying here is get the book now from there if you really want it, and spend your money on stuff from us like your macrobiotic staples that you really can’t get for less elsewhere. www.simply-natural.biz. Well when it comes to the groups, people in them are going to be pretty internet savvy as a whole in terms of finding books for less on Half etc or on Ebay, but at times I almost want to pelt them with umeboshi plums when they state right in the forum at CyberMacro that I am selling! Not everyone of course is this way, someone of you do regularly support what I do, so in saying what I just said, your doing that means all that more then. Guest guest
Database? I know on one of my other groups, I made a phone book in the database. It would be pretty easy to just list book title, member name and trade wants. Guest guest
Hey , Yea, well if anyone is going to get the book and it will be the same price no matter where we get it, giving you the money makes more sense. Yea, we all know we can get books cheaper on those type of places but it is rude to mention at your site. aren't you able to delete their comments? Reg > > >> > > >> But hey! Guest guest
Hi Reggie, Well thanks for all that! There is a link I just put up to buy the book click here so anyone can now get the book direct at Amazon.com UK. I get a few pennies or is that pence for each one sold? There is a full page of info I have up on it along with ilanit’s great review of it and a foreword by Michio. I do generally delete the comments about sources to get books other than via me. Sometimes I will post back asking did you realize we sell the book right here?
