Guest guest
Ok, so I gave my son 30 mgs zinc methomethianine last night, after a entire day of research and pleadings for advice (thanks so much for everyone who replied!!). Anyway, I gave him the zinc, after his bath, approx 45 min -1 hour after he ate supper. As a matter of fact, he ate a piece of bread after his bath and then took the zinc ( in applesauce with his Valtrex). Not more than 5 min. later I glanced over at him and could tell he was about to be sick. Thankfully we made it from the couch to kitchen tile fast enough, where he promptly threw up twice. Afterwards, seemed to feel fine and began to eat some crackers I gave him to settle his stomach. Think it was the zinc? He has had liquid zinc before, always a while after dinner and with no problems what so ever. This was his first dose of Zinc methomethianine. Think that was the difference? Maybe it was something else entirely - I don't know.... This is just a child who has only thrown up a handful of times in his entire life - it's pretty rare for him. Of course, I'd like to think that maybe it was a " healing regression " from the Valtrex....has anyone else experienced this? There was no accompanying fever or anything. Now I am confused about what to give tonight. Any suggestions?
