Charlotte,

I'm not sure if you got an answer on the sediment question. I havent yet read all the unread messages to accumulate while I was offline. But I bumped into the following info just the other day from Bone and Mills Principles and Practice.

p. 550. nerve hypersensitivty reported in consumers of tablets and liquid extracts in Aus and NZ. Aus practitioners suggest that hypericum preps from late harvested herbs with more resinous constituents to blame. Hence not dispensing the sediment should avoid problem. But only late harvested herb is thought to be problematic and this is only a hypothesis anyway.
