Guest guest
I am going to implement open access in my newly established practice once I move to a new location. Since I'm sending a letter out regarding my move, I thought it would be a good time to introduce them to the open access concept. I'm struggling with trying to write a short paragraph describing the concept. It seemed simple until I tried to write it down in terms that would be simple to my patients.. Any ideas would be appreciated. Stacey
Guest guest
I'm uploading a set of Open Access references (Word format) onto my web site. Take a look for all sorts of good information. Review Murray's article in the March 2005 Family Practice Management. Open access is all about a practice understanding how to manage supply and demand. When you do it well, you have the ability to offer " today " appointments regardless of urgency. There is really no need to market this to patients or to make a point of notifying them. Just do it. I've seen practices get burned by marketing open access and then failing to deliver. I have yet to see a practice suffer from lack of marketing of OA.
