Guest guest
This sounds somewhat like the rashes my son is getting - except they're not so big any more - and maybe not as large as what you described. But what does sound consistent is the 'knifelike' look - or scratch-like look of the rash. We showed these to our DAN! and she thought that it might be the Varicella virus coming out. Apparently what we think of as shingles (in adults) is a form of the varicella virus - which was probably part of a vaccination. She was guessing at this - but I thought it was interesting. We started seeing these about two weeks into the valtrex - but we are doing natural antifungals - so no diflucan. I hope this is helpful. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Thanks for your reply, atleast it seems like its something we should be expecting to see with regards to Rash. We are into fourth day of Valtrex and 9th day of Diflucan, we should be getting nasal B-12 this week. Today again in the shower we noticed two different types of rashes. One was again a knife like but only couple of inches long on his left leg. Another was on his upper left arm, it was like light red/pink in color about 1/2 inch big but not at all knife life. This one is similar to some of the pics on the Photos link. We also saw a rash on his cheeks. Also my son is scratching himself more on his body. I am curious as to whether we should be seeing these rashes so early in the treatment. Also is it absolutely necessary to do B-12 spray alongwith medication. I am concerned that since we will be 4-5 days behind on giving B-12, that it may not have a negative impact. We are hoping that whatever viruses are in his body, we can get rid of them, so that we can give him a chance to make positive progress.
