I have been a stay at home mom for the last 5 years and found that I did not want to go back into full midwifery services, but still wanted to work with, and support women in a meaningful way. I decided to focus my practice on breastfeeding support and to open a private practice in my neighborhood in Brooklyn which has seen a boom in new parenthood in recent years. I am looking forward to being a member of this listserv where I can speak with other IBCLC's in private practice about issues specific to our business and clinical work. I heard about this listserv from Burger, the President of NYLCA. I am also on the hunt for a used infant scale. Any recommendations? Is anyone in the tri-state area looking to sell a used scale?
