This has all the transparency and evocation of time passing in a haiku poem,

though a more extended meditation. Your poem reached right in to my heart

and made me breath into a wider universe. Please carry on sharing your

poems with us.

I just watched a film about Frida Khalo¹s life. The passion with which she

explored her feelings, senses and self in her self-portraits is incredible.

After I watched it I sobbed huge tears of sadness right from my pelvis. The

power of art to unlock the emotional life is very potent, shamanic even.

It¹s here that I can connect with my splits and blocks. For me, to

experience a split is to touch and feel the crack where the light gets in.

So I haven¹t been able to join your discussions about splits because I don¹t

apprehend splits in an abstract light, for me they live in a darker more

animal place right under the soles of the feet where body and earth connect

with the feeling of sensuality, vitality and aliveness.

We really must get your poems published, Alice.

In the dance,

Frances
