I’m new to the group but as usual, I’m learning

more here than any dr would teach more or seem to have knowledge of. Forgive my

sarcasm but I’ve been through the ringer.

My quick story. I had a complete hysterectomy 11 years ago

(age 39) due to endometrial cancer.

Recently, I was told by a chiropractor that I have Hashi’s.

Here are some recent numbers. She is going by Dr. Dhatis (sp) info and

protocols. Wants me to try some botanicals. I also had my gallbladder out a

year ago. I’ve had the worse digestion problems since. One being BILE

reflux. She says I have Hashis and that fixing that will help the reflux. I

also have a sliding hiatal hernia and I reflux into my throat (as per upper

GI). I have constant burning throat, belly, intestines, skin, mouth. My

gallbladder had no stones or sludge, just slight inflammation. (wishing they

had not taken it out) My last saliva test showed high cortisol at noon. The

other 3 times, not so bad. I also battle now with insulin resistance for which

I’ve been taking Banaba leaf to help keep it in under control. I’ve

stopped gluten as of a month ago. Though my husband made dinner last night and

used a bit of soy sauce and today I feel worse than normal. Not sure if it’s

related.

TSH – 2.15 (.40-4.50)

FT4 – 1.0 (.8-1.8)

FT3 – 263 (230-420)

ThyroGlob Ant - <20 (<20)

Thyr. Perox. Ant – 12 <35

Vit D3 – 46 (don’t have the range)

Am Cortisol – 18.5 (4.0-22.0)

Out of range –

Hemoglobin – 15.9 (11.7-15.5)

Hematocrit – 47.4 (35.0-45.0)

I don’t know if I should go with the chiropractor’s

botanical suggestions, for which there are a buttload. Not only for the thyroid

but digestion, adrenals, etc.

I would like to just take some thyroid med if it will help

control. I’ve tried Armour and Nature Throid. The first time I got

anxiety, the second, depression in a couple of days. Both times, I started with

a small amount.

Any thoughts or ideas, suggestions are always appreciated!
