Zyrtec and me

Ok, Ive been taking zyrtec at night and singulair in the mornings along with flovent twice a day for roughly a year and a half to 2 yrs now. Lately Ive been waking up more nasally congested than when I went to bed to the point where I cannot breathe through my nose until I hit the q tips box. Ive been running low on zyrtec (and cash right now) so Ive been forgoing the zyrtec for the past few days. I sneeze no more or less than when I do take the zyrtec..so its almost like it really isnt doing that much for me. And something interesting is going on.

Number one, my peak flows are HIGHER...last night I hit 580, 570 and 550 when I did my peak flow. My average for the past year has been 490-520. The last month or so, Ive been between 500-540.

Number 2, Im not waking up so congested, despite the fact that I cannot bring myself to ban the kitties from the bedroom at night (also, their litterbox is in our bathroom) and they decide on regular occasion to sleep as close to my face as possible.

I have a history of taking allergy meds for about this time frame and building up tolerances to them. Claritin, Allegra, and now it seems Zrytec have all done this.

I havent set up an appt with the doc on base yet, but I need to b/c Im really hesitant to be without something for allergies when prime season starts here in Ga as I havent been through a spring/summer here yet...and I dont know when it all starts flying here. (Last week, we had cotton flying around in the air..which is strange since its not cotton season) Maybe my body likes Ga more than I realize?? I am allergic to most deciduous trees, pollen and grass..

It makes me curious though that Im on less medications for my allergies which DO affect my asthma yet, my peak flows are improving steadily.

This is exactly how my reactions to my allergy shots started building up...slowly but steadily..until BAM. My doctor told my mother it was a relapse on flu (I was 15 and had had flu/bronchitis earlier in the month), but she gave me benedryl (she was a nurse and her gut instinct told her to do so) and within 45 minutes it was alll over and I was back to normal. (Doctor got a huge piece of moms mind. Hmm..maybe that explains her current issues with memory...)

Anyway, I find this interesting.. A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!
