Surgery at TCI... Lots of questions!

Hello Everyone...

I have surgeries scheduled @ TCI for July 31st, August 14th & August

15th. Since I am slightly obsessive about arrangements, I have a lot

of questions. Since I am a Mom of 3, I need to know what I am up

against.

1. How long was your hospital stay for TCS surgery? What were the

restrictions afterward (stairs, activity, lifting)? Did you need to

implement any assistive devices (walker, cane, etc.)?

2. What was the invasive cervical traction like? I am really

nervous about this procedure, maybe because of the things in my head

while I am awake?!? Ya... that's it! :-)

3. How long was your hospital stay for decompression surgery? What

were the restrictions afterward (stairs, activity, driving, lifting,

etc.)? For those of you with children, how long before you could

care for your children unassisted?

I am concerned that I won't have enough help with the children.

Unfortunately, my recovery time is just about when the kids go back

to school, my middle child starts cheerleading, and my oldest starts

field hockey. I plan to email the coaches & teachers to let them

know what is going on, I just want to have " all my ducks in a row. "

Any info you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks & Hugs!
