Guest guest Posted May 20, 2003 Report Share Posted May 20, 2003 I think it is very fair to say that there is much evidence to suggest that Zerit is a bad actor in terms of mitochondrial toxicity, and possibly, lipoatrophy. There is not enough to prove the allegation at this point. Given this situation, I think many docs are avoiding zerit as first line therapy. It is still a very useful drug.
