Guest guest
since celiac disease is autoimmune it's a good bet that he has it along with the hashi's. i have about six autoimmune diseases along with my hashi's. treating my celiac is the one thing that has actually given me instant results ... with pain (from inflammation) and intestinal troubles. if you cook for your husband - make him gluten free things and he'll see they can be just as good as the non-gluten free. there are some great blogs and sites with free recipes. I have plenty if you want to email me. i had several doctors run tests prior to my new doc and they both told me i didn't have celiac. try it on him and if he feels better you'll know. The attack on the gluten keeps inflammation raging. my pain is down, my gut problems are gone and i seem to be absorbing my vitamins better. the immune system constantly attacks the gluten and it won't stop unless the gluten isn't there. I don't miss gluten .. the food is just as good, but it does makes it a challenge to eat out. Hardee's has a gluten-free burger – it's called a low carb burger. I use corn tortillas and crepes to replace bread ... it's just easier than baking bread sometimes … and rice pasta. See if you can talk him into trying it for a month and then he can see if it helps, or just do it and don't tell him. LOL He may be surprised at how much better he'll feel. Guest guest
My husband reminded me that he did a 3 month fast from gluten and corn last Summer. He said he didn't feel any different. Any input?
