Guest guest
I've been watching the traffic on this site with a lot of interest over the three months since i joined the site. I am one of the two members of the Price Foundation in Arkansas, and first became aware of the Price principles and the organization last summer. Personally, i have always relied on books, the Internet, and the advice of others to educate myself about any particular subject. I tend to gather all that I can, and then make up my own mind. (you become more comfortable with this process at age 77.) I have a large library of books on many subjects gathered over the years. Included are a large number of Life Style, Nutrition, and Cooking books. Over the last two or three years, i have added many books on these subjects to my collection. But i have secret. We have a wonderful regional library system here in NW Arkansas. I check out books regularly, and assess them. if there are some i cannot do without, I go looking for them on the Internet. At <half.com> or <bibliofind.com> , I find many of the items i want at incredulous prices. I have bought books in new, nearly new, used. and decrepit condition. For books originally costing ten to forty dollars, i have paid as little as three to twelve dollars. My best find was a 1978 Time Life Cooking Series book on Poultry in new-unused condition with the dust jacket in place for just twenty four cents plus $2.25 mailing cost! ( there are other used book sites, but these two have filled my needs. ) Sally Fallon's Book, Nourishing Traditions, retails at $25. You can find it on bibliofind for only $12.50. Another book i would recommend highly to anyone interested in natural foods is Wood's 1999 ( the newest ) edition of The New Whole Foods Encyclopedia. It retails for $18.95. I found it tonight on half.com for $6.53. I hope that this information to such an obviously involved group will be useful to many of you. It sounds like you are having lots of fun in the discovery phase of good nutrition. Good Eating! estaban
