Had my apt with my new doctor...

Well I had my apt with my new doctor on the 16th (driving about 2 hours with

traffic to see him) and it went pretty well. He asked lots of questions spent a

good amount of time with me answered all of my questions, he himself took blood

for testing AND said when testing came back with results he would prescribe

Armour for me (we are doing a compounded version since no place near by has

any). So overall I feel that the apt went well but I will wait until a few apts

into this doctor to say if I truely like him or not (I have seen too many

doctors go sour after the second apt).

He called me last night (yes the doctor himself called ME on a SATURDAY NIGHT),

to let me know that blood work was back in. I have to get all the exact numbers

from him when I call him later this week(it was late when he called and I was

almost asleep because he called at 10pm). But he said my thyroid tests were way

off he said my TSH was at 30.8 (normal range is 0.3- 3.0), he also said I am for

sure Antibody positive (none of my other doctors ever tested because they said

it does not change treatment anyway) and he said my iron was low. I will ask him

to send me a copy of the lab work later this week so I have all the numbers but

I just wanted to give an update on how the apt went!
