My position is new to this facility, (6/05) but was told during the interview to expect to travel to seminars and conferences. Our director and IS person previously attended. #3. No #4. even though I learned ( thanks to ) that there is some reimbursement from CMS, our facility will not approve my attending the conference. They say there is no money in the budget up front. Our IS person was able to attend the conference in San Francisco in April funded thru the Database company. A side note, I was told in March that some of the restrictions on funds could be lifted later in the year. F.
