Guest guest
I am glad you mentioned the AAFP Medfusion site. I had actually forgotten about it! If you look at the last page of my website, I link to my free Medfusion site. This allows links to the entire AAFP patient information handout database. The free site will list basic information for you as well. Medfusion has a lot of products that might be more than you are looking for with a low overhead practice. I am also enrolled with www.appointmentquest.com for online patient scheduling. Plans start as low as $7 or $8. As for my site, I need to make a lot of changes! The Norman Rockwell paintings are not public domain, so I need to change the look pronto! Make sure to check out other folks websites on the list-serve! Clemensen MD Clemensen Family Medicine 241 Parrish Street Suite A1 Canandaigua, NY 14424 clemensenfamilymedicine.com Web hosting question Hello Everyone, I visited Clemensen's web page at clemensenfamilymedicine.com and found it very impressive and downright inspiring. Thanks for listing it, . I remember that the AAFP offers web hosting services, so I checked it out. It's with an outfit called medfusion. It seems to offer lots of stuff, but at a per-use charge in addition to a monthly hosting fee. For example, it looks like it costs you 25 cents each time a patient makes an appointment. This seems excessive at first glance, but I don't trust my first impression. Does anyone have any experience with the AAFP/Medfusion service? mentioned Brinkster.com, and that service looked very easy and affordable. Is there any benefit to going through the AAFP? Sometimes these offers through parent groups imply better service and savings, but I am not convinced. Thanks for any feedback. By the way, I am slowly preparing for my version of an ideal practice, perhaps in early 2006. I think I have figured out the whole insurance company-Medicare-reimbursement thing. Hint: aviod them all. Anyway, stay tuned. I will share my practice plan when I figure it out more thoroughly. Guest guest
Hi, greetings from the MD/DVM in Drain, Oregon I, too, like Clemensen's web site, as well as a lot of other MD web sites. Try the sites that the retainer MDs have. But catch me ever agreeing to a system that charges me 25 cents everytime someone else accesses it. That would mean if it were a great site and had a lot of hits, I would pay up the nose. Remember, we were trying to keep a low overhead. Use someone elses dime, every time, if you can. I am building my website, from the space I get from my server; it will have a lot of links, I think, so I can use someone elses dime. It is part of my package deal that includes internet access, web page space, a bunch of email addresses, practically unlimited computer management advice and extra small computer parts when needed, as well as network setup and service: for $24.00 a month; I bought the computers from them: they built them for me to fit the needs of the practice. I recommend working with responsible small business men and women like ourselves.
