Guest guest
Dear Cobalt, I contacted a and told her not to post messages about her " dating service " on the message board. I have no problem with your link to your chat room. Since our EN Group grew to over 100 members we have had a few " questionable " members. What happens is that someone who may not even have EN or a related disorder will join and immediately start to post their ads. I'm sorry that her ads spammed those who get individual emails. Even if I remove the posts from the site, they were already sent out ;-( I haven't heard anything from her since. Who knows if she has EN or not. If she gets no response to the dating service, I expect she will unsubscribe if she doesn't have EN. I could start making it harder for members to join by requiring a completed questionnaire, but that I felt would also discourage sick people or those who just wanted to read the Group resources. I feel that it is easier to handle the ocassional problem than inconvenience all the truly ill people who might be turned off to a lot of " paper work " before they could join. I have already visited your chat room several times, and there are nice people there who have an interest in astrology and other topics. It also has a good diary of your sarc. and EN challenges. Keep posting the link, Cobalt. Hope that clarifies. Love, > {Why did I get this sent to me FOUR TIMES? I don't date nor need to, I'm > married! Okay, now know what was referring to. WHat does this > have to do with E.N. or related Autoimmune Disorders?}
Guest guest
{Coolness. Yea when I saw four from her, I thought we had an enthusiastic fellow member with lots to say and helpful info, but this: " Hmmmm, I've been feeling sick lately, but hey here's this neato new dating service I found that has nothing to do with Erytha lin or whatever this site is about, tee hee. " Ya get those types with one out of ten these days.} " Who would have imagined one of the most brilliant communication revolutions of this century would come to no more than 100s of Ads on Ebay auctions, Mortgages, organ enlargement drugs, etc? Guest guest
Dear Cobalt, You got that right. The real pain is that quite a few legit members don't know they can choose to get no email and just log onto the Group site to check posts etc.(It is the solution to spamming and nice if you don't get to use the computer too often). These legit members sometimes drop out due to not being able to keep up with their mail going directly to their email box. We had one such member drop out today. I explained that she had a choice. I really hate the way Yahoo has it set up as the " default " to get all Group email to the mailbox. It is so much easier to put the group site on your bookmarks --one click and you are there. A while back I set up the Group so only I could upload Files and Links...only because I was afraid if anyone could do it porn etc. could get on the site....ya have to think of everything these days LOL. I certainly have learned a lot from moderating this Group--and as they say " it ain't all pretty " . Hope you are feeling well, Cobalt. My girlfriend, lives in Bellingham, WA and has been telling me how rainy it is there. Don't know if that makes it easier of harder to breathe. Guest guest
Hi, I just joined this group recently and never gave it a thought about such people. This world is so full of crazy people. Like you Cobalt, I am legit and would never think of joining a group with such intentions. Maybe that girl needs more prayers than we could ever send her way. LOL With at the helm I am sure this doesn't happen too often. Thank goodness for that as I am intersted to find out from people like you what is going on and how each of us can connect the dots to maybe help each other find easier ways to deal with our problems. Having EN or any other autoimmune disease is no picnic and we could all use a little information on these things to help educate ourselves as well as our doctors. Love, Jackie Re: Message to Cobalt Dear Cobalt, You got that right.
