Guest guest
just put the miso in at the end or make a shoyu or tamari broth or you could make a veggie stock with kombu and any of the following - leek, onion, carrot, celery bay leaf, parsely corn cobs, mushrooms I had a lovely oyster mushroom and bokchoy soup in a restaurant made with veggie stock which was amazing - I am so used to either blended pumpkin soups or miso soups that it was a nice change or you could just buy the Imagine brand veggie stock or any of their soups though they are a bit salty I wold not recommend any other soup stocks as most have msg like compunds called excitotoxins - disguesed as any of the following or other names - yeast, yeast extract, natural flavouring, hydrolysed vegetable protein etc purpleveg wrote: Happy Passover to those celebrating. I bought a box of mazah meal under the delusion that I would make matzah ball soup. Then I got to thinking what the fuse am I going to do for broth? miso soup? any suggestions? Maybe I should make a miso veggie soup and cook the balls in it. It won't be healthy miso as it will boil for quite some time but better than the other choices... yes? no? If you put them in the balls that is ok - you don't have to worry about the miso everytime - sometimes you just use it as in an ingredinet not for the nezymes etc. and I thought of the imagine unchicken broth oh - they make an unchicken?! how cute! and had it in my hands but the thought of using that grossed me out. I will throw in a few veggies I have around the house sautee some onions in it and cross my fingers. Thanks for the suggetions.
