Guest guest
thanks for the kudos - the blog has been fun! keep your eye on it - I did add a lot in my excitement about it - it was 's idea and expertise and technical savvy that made it happen - so he should get the kudos too! so glad to hear you are feeling better. don't worry about the sugary snacks - it happens to us all - well to most of us! LOL and great to be able to make the connection - though there are always beyond factors that we don't know about. also great to acknowledge that your body was able to deal with it so effectively. actually a healthy body will respond to a cold or flu/house cleaning opportunity - it is the people who don't get these suppsed colds - or exterior conditions as they are called in chinese medicine that get health problems or is a sign of the immune system's diffiuclty in responding! sarah nelsen wrote: Thanks Ilanit! the energized eating blog is great! did you just start it? there's so much info, and all from february! Guest guest
Hi Reggie, Funny I was only just thinking of the cruise a day or so ago. I had advertised it via CyberMacro and for a time, let each of our customers know about it, so wondered if I got any referrals for it. I will have to ask Sandy when he gets back. Not sure I would have been up to the cruise overall in terms of how I have been feeling lately, but I took a gamble that I would be for the International Housewares show in Chicago, a week starting on March 12th, got the tickets and all weeks ago, and it does look like I will be going to that! The show is related to all the cookware stuff we sell. Guest guest
Hey , Thanks so much for the heartfelt email. I will up my probiotics dose perhaps from 2 a day to 4? About garlic extract, how much do you suggest and is any kind better than another? Also, do you stink like garlic from it? My skin has stopped making all sorts of pimples which I'm really happy about except for that one monster next to my nose which is a small hard bump now, nearly gone. I'm so proud of myself I didn't squeeze or pick at it that's a first for me I think. Tho the POP on the mirror is so exciting. I really should have been a boy! Now that the acupuncturist has me writing down all I eat I think it's forcing me to eat a bit better. Still crap tho. Today: miso with quinoa, carrots, broc and caul then some pea soup (left over from when all I could have was mush from the gum surgery) and 2 slices of that millet bread with some earth balance. THEN just now I had about 1/2 cup of the leftover (also surgery stuff) rice dream vanilla mixed with soy delicious expresso together were maybe a 1/2 cup YUMMY. I hope you get your candida problem cleared up soon. The time in Chicago should be productive and not too cold. Will you go to Chicago Diner? I love that place. Not as much as Real Food Daily tho. Maybe we should all do a weekend in CA so we could eat there? How pathetic our lives revolving around food. Ok maybe not yours but certainly mine. Don't forget to share what happens and if you find some neat new toys. About the cruise, I'm serious. I really really want to do it. I do have my cat to think about. Just before the cruise last year I discovered she has breast cancer and the lump just kept getting bigger and bigger. The holistic vet didn't want to operate then finally she got it to the point it was ok to take out but the xray showed she has one in her lungs too so we are leaving it be. Then in Oct or Nov it burst and has been splattering all over since. I finally got to putting an ace bandage on her and changing it all the time with different potions. The newest is finely chopped wheatgrass first I was doing it with carrot but the acupuncturist said to skip the carrot as the sweet will help the cancer grow. When I brought Billie to the vet she was amazed what happened in 2 weeks. She said skip whatever I told you and keep this up so I am. The lump seems to be smaller and Billie is still in fine shape. But needless so say the cruise wasn't possible for me, who would do for her what I do daily? Ok, sometimes I'm a slacker I think 3 times I waited more than a day. Bad mommy! Thanks for saying that about my story. I appreciate that. I hope I get more inspired again soon. I'm not that thrilled with the cupping and acupuncture so far but I should give it a try. I am not impressed with something working for 1 hour and then reverting back then it's just a waste of the 30 min drive there and back too. Man what a long post! Ilanit gets the gold star this month. Girl you're doing well since the month just started. Wait, you said it y'day so the gold star is for Feb. LOL Have a great one, Reg > > Hi Reggie, > > > > Looks like I am a temporary member of the parasite club myself, trying to > conquer candida at the moment. > > > > I came to macro with extremely bad candida, got it under control with no > reoccurrence according to retesting over the yrs, but after not checking for > many yrs, and feeling pretty run down in 2003, a digestive stool test showed > I had it again. Guest guest
Hi Reggie, You set a great tone in encouraging us to share no matter what, so maybe my posting that represented my feeling that I am really making some progress in getting the Candida finally behind me, so figured why not talk about it a bit. Well, with your particular probiotic, it would be best to check the recommended dosage to see how far you can go with it. I am using garlic extract from Kyolic. www.kyloic.com it is odorless. Not sure if you have this resource, but a good place for stuff like that is Needs, http://www.needs.com/ the recommended dosage is ¼ teaspoon, twice a day. I think this brand is considered one of the best. I am sure you are doing the best you can with how you are eating at the moment. Maybe just pick one thing that you can do to make a change for the better right now, and be proud of yourself for accomplishing that. For me it was breaking my habit of eating past 11 am for breakfast most days. It was all so weird, for the life of me I could not change that, then I had this chat with Klara led by Marque a few weeks back on CyberMacro. Just by talking about that one thing, it somehow made an impression that I was committed to overcoming that. I was pretty skeptical I would be able to stick to it, but for the most part I have. After that I was just inspired to make more positive changes, and so on and so on. Even if everyday is not perfect, knowing that new positive trend is there feels pretty empowering. Yes, I definitely will be going to the Chicago Dinner. This will be my first time going to the show. A few years back it was held in January, but they moved it to March for warmer weather, not sure how true that would be though. I will give a full report with all I see. This is the major show where all the hot housewares products get introduced. Last year one of the big ones was a gadget to make eggs and toast at the same time. I guess there is the chance that I will be able to eat at some of the companies there as many like to offer food to demonstrate what they sell, but I will not count on that. That is so wonderful with your cat. I have heard some great recovery stories in terms of using wheatgrass. Well there is next year again for the cruise, for all of us. H’m I see what you are saying about the acupuncture treatments, the improvement is not lasting. Have you mentioned this to the person doing them on you? I know that drive and determination is definitely in your makeup from your story. Even if things don’t seem their best for you at this moment, somehow what is deep inside of you will ensure that you will make it through everything just fine! Yes, I second the nomination for Ilanit for the Gold Start for February too, or is that Gold Star now an Ipod?
