If that doesn't work....we alternate every 6mo between valtex and famvir. the dosing mg are different. for example my guy (teen) does 1000mg valtrex 3x day, but when on famvir does 500mg 3x day. thought you just might want to know another antiviral is out there besides acyclovir cat Cochran wrote: We could not do Valtrex due it creating severe stomach problems in a kid who was not a gut kid.
