Guest guest
My husband has been on Zoloft for 3 years now. He was on Paxil which did not seem to help very much. The Zoloft seems to keep him on a more even keel-used to have mood swings, some aggression, depression (think it's in the family, though undiagnosed),more obsessive behavior. Think you will find it helpful. ~Marilyn tcsmail@... wrote: > For the group - Mother's geriatric psychiatrist decided against > Ativan at this time, and wants to start her on Zoloft for the panic > attacks. Guest guest
Marilyn - Thank you for your reply. Like everyone here, I am taking stabs in the dark to find ANYTHING to help Mother. Keep your fingers crossed that Zoloft will help her, too. I appreciate your insights. For example, my gyno wanted to give it to me for hot flashes. (I declined because what I was using was working fine) My husband, the LBD person, takes Celexa, another anti-depressant. I don't know if they are interchangeable since each medications works differently but the Celexa has been very effective at stabilizing his moods and no significant side effect. Of course we all know:Every LBD person is different. If you go with the Zoloft, let us know how it goes. Imelda
Guest guest
Imelda - Thank you. We're starting the Zoloft tomorrow. I will certainly keep you posted. Sorry to hear about your experience with Predictors Study. Mother was seen at Hopkins for this, and they were very patient and respectful to her. Guess it all depends on the individual doctor conducting the interview. Incidentally, she saw only a neurologist and one person who administered the psychological test. Maybe because her regular neurologist and psychiatrist are at Hopkins and they already have her other files? Who knows... Thanks again, Terri > Marilyn - Thank you for your reply.
