Guest guest Posted January 19, 2007 Report Share Posted January 19, 2007 Hi, I put Neosporin on the open cracks and each night before I go to bed, I go into my son's room and put lotion on his feet. I use either Eucerin or jojoba oil. It's helped a lot. I also think that uping his EFAs helped too.Drea Garza wrote: Occlusion could help if your child can stand it. You may purchase it at WalMart for about $5 and its in the OTC pharmaceuticals. You could try a peice of suran wrap or press and seal on the bottom of the foot after applying moisture of some kind, and then socks on over that. It's not entirely the most comfortable thing, but it helps hold in the moisture. I used to do occlusion on my son only with just socks (he coudlnt' deal with plastic wrap) before bed. I don't know if yeast is something you have to worry about wtih occlusion. We just found it helpful with healing the thick and cracked skin.
