i just had my 3rd tooth break =in about as many years.

just like the other 2 times, it is a tooth that has had a Filling in it since i

got all those cavigies during a short period of time as a kid (around the time i

was diagnosed Hashis/ hypot)

and just like the other 3 times; this has occured during a period where i was

dosed to Free T3 = at highest-Normal range and where i have had basically the

same *Only occur at that dosage= subtle signs and symtpoms that seem to be a

mix of Hypert/overmedication and High cortisol signs .

i know TCM traditional chinese medicine says that our Teeth and Bones are in the

same 'zang fu' system as our Thryoid and Adrenals = the Kidney system...

anyone come across any DRs or patients INfo writing about specificlaly the teeth

and " Adrenal Fatigue " and thyroid?

i don't want this to keep happening to my other Fillinged teeth obviously.

How awful. Ouch! What does your dentist say about teeth breaking for his

thyroid patients? Do you use fluoride? I had three teeth rot in 2001-2002

when I was on the T4-only drugs and still unknowingly using the toxic halide,

fluoride. I had to get a crown on one and the other two were pulled and I felt

them be because one was the very back on the top and the other was the very back

on the bottom on the same side. Now you can't tell where the spaces were as my

teeth has spread out and taken up the area.

I have never been able to get my FT3 as high as you have. There is a fine line

between optimal and too much or too little. Do you take any other drugs? What

are you doing to lower the high cortisol? Do you take oxidizing vitamins and

minerals? Do you think this is a high FT3 problem or years of damage from the

Synthroid? I guess I am lucky to have had a huge reaction to synthetic T4 early

on. I know that studies show that synthetic thyroid hormones are riskier than

the natural ones regarding bone loss. What are your calcium, magnesium, vitamin

D and phosphorous levels?

I know that an elderly 80 something, non-thyroid, neighbor is so stuck on doing

exactly what her doctor says that she now has major problems. First, the doc

put her on Actonel for bone loss, which caused an irregular heart beat. So then

Waran (Warafarin aka Coumadin), an anticoagulant, was added. Then the Waran

caused her cholesterol to go sky high and now she's on Crestor with side

effects. She has no way out! She's a true victim of modern medicine and its

so-called miracle drugs. It's so sad she is going on Wed for dental surgery to

extract two teeth that crumbled and broke off near the gum. They have to

extract the remaining portions from her gums via surgery and the Waran that

thins her blood is a big problem. The blood thickness has to be exactly at a

certain point or they can't do the surgery. This is maddening. Actonel's side

effects include Atrial Fibrillation and teeth or jaw crumbling.

If I see anything on teeth and thyroid I'll let you know.

and yes ; very definitely caused by the years of damage done by Sinthroid (with

low Free t3=never tested till.. i woke up and found s book

i actually had a 'ridge' of ?bone? built up around my Upper jaw (above the teeth

_under the gums) =that is gone now after a year or 2 of being on NTH! it was

_i believe_ caused by the massive amount of pressure i was putting on my jaws by

clenchign them 24/7/365

note that i did not grind my teeth; so my dentist was not seeing twiceyearly

check ups damage that was alarming;

i like my dentist but may be he is an idiot?? i know he has been in business for

about 25 years ;

question:

did you go to a regular Dentist (Vs one focused on thryoid/adrenla of otherwise

sick people) ?

and why did he decide to pull 2 of your teeth VS doing a root canal and crown

structure??

were your 2 teeth -fillinged/cavity teeth?

I know in " Stop the Thyroid Madness " she states that fluoride is not good for

the thyroid. You may want to pass on the Fluoride treatment the dentist is

telling you to get. Also amalgam fillings which are about 50% mercury can cause

issues with anyone who has a weakened immune system. If you need a filling

insist on the composite filling. Even if you have to pay more. Mercury is a

toxin to the body.

Hi Carol,

We go to a dentist who advertises as being Holistic. He does NOT use fluoride

or metal fillings. My kids only get composite fillings, me too. I do still

have a few amalgam fillings though. I can't say he is well versed in Thyroid or

AF, however we've never had an in depth conversation other than to tell him my

medical background. He does read a lot and understands the body as a whole,

especially a healthy diet, danger of fluoride, mercury and other toxins like

bromide. He advocates good diet and supplementing with iodine to help rid the

body of toxins and other nutrients. In fact, I read Dr. Brownstein's new 2009

edition on Iodine in his office. Hopefully someday I'll have the remaining

metal out of my mouth.

The reason I had the teeth pulled is that the teeth were rotten. They had

massive metal/amalgam fillings and the fillings cracked over time and decay set

in. Essentially, they could NOT be saved. The dentist at the time recommended

they be pulled. I was so sick at the time I just got them pulled by an oral

surgeon because it was quick. I could hardly walk or think back then.

Later other dentists including the orthodontist said to just leave it alone

because my other teeth would shift and take up the space, so that's what I did.

Now I can't feel the spaces or remember how they were. These teeth were wisdom

teeth that most people have fulled anyway. Mine just rotted and got pulled in

my thirties.

The other tooth on the bottom near the middle had a root canal twice during two

pregnancies, so a composite crown was done to save it. Not fun!

My tonsils were removed as a child, so don't have any personal knowledge

relating to them. Hope you feel better soon. I just hate having dental work

done, so can relate and I do feel for you.

its a good thing to hear how other dentists are doing their various treatments

(btw i have never done Fluoride treatments of any kind at a dentist office )

i had all 4 of my wisdome teeth pulled at 23 (my mouth was too small to

accomodate them, tho *I* handn't noticed any thign yet and they had not started

to " Appear "

whatever they did to me :0 =set me up for TMJ like jaw tension =and i got a

bladder infectino a few weeks after my operation ,, and had the severe reaction

to the drugs

and that is when the TMJ /jaw tension started.

=just recently read that the macrodantin type of RX drugs they prescribed for

bladder infection should NOT be prescribed to any one with LOW B Vitamins..

--like peole who are left hypothryoid on incorrect RX dosage with unredognized

Adrenal Fatigue
