Would you associate Mercury/Trickster with the Tarot archetype of the Fool, or perhaps the Magician? Just curious. The Fool is the primitive Trickster, the Dummling or Coyote. The Magician is most closely associated with the Spiritus Mercurius, and the Hanged Man is associated with Wotan/Odin receiving the runes.
