Guest guest
I have not started back taking my prednisone just for this very reason since I got out of the hospital last month. Its so funny doctors say "you have to loose weight" but here take these 60mg prednisone and then taper etc.. etc... geez!! I can't win. But I'm sure I'm gonna have to end up taking it because I'm starting to have asthma issues again. I am using the inhaler way too much. My chin is doubling more and more. I have gained almost 100 lbs inthe last year and a half. Has losing weight helped with the body shapechanges from the Cushings? That is what bugs me the most (other thanthe facial hair). I used to gain weight all over, but now it all hasshifted to my abdomen and hump.Madeline> > >> > > > I have been AWOL for the last couple of days and will probably> > not be> > > > on much over the weekend. Guest guest
Hi Kay,I hope you feel better real soon. I'm so sorry about the problems you are having and that you have to go back on Prednisone.I also get that, " you have to loose weight " from some of my doctors and I hate it. Most of them know that it's from the Prednisone and they don't bug me about it. Some of my doctors even tell me not to worry about it for now because it's almost impossible to lose weight on high doses of Prednisone (although some can do it), but just try not to gain more. It' really hard. I hope you start feeling better. I hope you don't need to go back on Prednisone, but please do take them when you need to.I used to joke around and say that I will continue to fight and keep my chinS up! :-))) (my smiley has multiple chins too!)
