Guest guest
Hi BJ, Well the 2nd set confirm the first: Sept. 2009 (on 45 mg NT. Feeling better than ever) TSH 7.29 0.450-4.500 uIU/mL FT3 2 2.0-4.4 pg/mL FT4 0.62 0.93-1.71 ng/dL Sept. 17, 2009 (2 days after previous to confirm results—feeling very good) TSH 7.09 (0.450-4.500) uIU/mL Triiodothyronine,Free,Serum 2.1 ( 2.0-4.4) pg/mL T4,Free(Direct) 0.69 (0.93-1.71) ng/dL The 2nd labs show a tiny improvement, although not significant. So I can rule out lab error. So now I still don't really know why I would feel so good but have labs like this. The pit thinks I'm not getting enough hormone and it appears my blood levels are very low, but someone else theorized that maybe the supplements are getting more of the hormone into the cells. But then shouldn't that signal the pit to stop releasing so much TSH, since the pit also has receptors? This will drive me crazy until (hopefully) I can figure it all out. > > Hi , > > Regarding the liver, I notice that people with liver problems over convert t4 into t3 causing FT3 to be high with even a small amount of replacement hormone whether it by T3, T4 or both. These people seem to not just have slightly elevated enzymes or liver panel but full blown liver disease as in hepatitis. > > I am not sure about how accurate the labs are either. My labs mimicked how I was feeling until recently. Maybe it takes time to recover from such a dramatic shock that the reformulated Armour caused in just a few weeks. However, in your case that doesn't seem to ring true. Perhaps, you are one who needs FT3/FT4 in the lower end of the range. > > Take care, > ~Bj > >
