Leucovorin is similar to folic acid, but it is actually folinic acid (a

derivative of folic acid).

Yes, I take Leucovorin every week, 12 hours after my Mtx shot. It's

like a mega-strong version of folic acid. (the other name for

leucovorin is folinic acid) I have no side effects from the

leucovorin, and it has helped a lot with the Mtx side effects.
