Guest guest
Howdy, It's great you are getting treatment. The shaky hands and anxiety are common withdrawal symptoms. They usually only last for a short period of time. About 5 days I think. Some symptoms can last longer. It's usually caused by chemical stimulation in the brain. Usually benzodiazepine type drugs are administered for treatment. I don't know much about Campral. I read a little about it. It's usually given along with some type of therapy. Is this the case for you? I was alarmed about the side effects. Did your doctor go over this with you as well? I wish you success with quiting drinking. It can be a tough thing to do. If you ever need support please feel free to post. I wish I could offer you more information. If I find anything I'll post it. In the meantime, here is an article on alcohol withdrawal. http://www.aafp.org/afp/20040315/1443.pdf MaC use_urhead wrote: I have not written in awhile. Guest guest
Hi, there. Let me introduce myself. I'm the king of self delusion. I look back now and can't believe all the thoughts I use to have. Like " wow, this liquor store would go out of business if not for me. " Or, " better slow down before it's too late. " (it's too late).Anyway, I'm over being ashamed so I thought I'd give some encouraging words to anyone who might have a problem with any substance. There is no shame in being human. Guest guest
Your Free thyroid hormones are still waaayyyy too low for almost anyone. I might be wrong, but it looks like your proportion of free T4 to free T3 is off, as in not converting very well, though some. That EBV makes antibodies, I think, not sure, so I would be interested in knowing whether that's active or residual from some time back. You are definitely hypo, as in why hasn't this doc done a slight increase in all this time? Hi all > Sorry I have not posted in awhile. I have been pretty ill as of > late. Guest guest
I'm so sorry you were treated like that you won't find that here there are many parent with children with little ones with asthma and us older ones LOL who can give you some advise of what we've dealt with IF it fits your questions. Again welcome to one of the most loving, helpful groups you'll ever be involved in! Terry from MD From: asthma [mailto:asthma ] On Behalf Of andersons1101Sent: Monday, March 02, 2009 10:39 PMTo: asthma Subject: Hi all Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is and I have a 4 year old with asthma....right now she is on pulmucort and abuterol thru the nebulizer singular by mouth and carbinoxamine for allergys. She has been hospitalized 3 times since being diagnosed. I wanted to join here cause I was a member of another group and I had asked a question about the flu and asthmatics and no one seemed they wanted to answer me. Well turned out 5 days later my daughter ended up catching pnuemonia. All I asked was what could I do to help her not catch it. Anyways im hoping with this group I could get more help. Asthma is a scary thing to deal with and I hate dealing with it alone. She has a asthma specialist she sees and has the allergy tests and stuff done.....she is also on a peak flow to watch for signs. My daughter is the kind of girl that never shows any signs of being sick till its too late. For instance while we were in the hopspital room her oxygen level dropped down to 75 and she was still happy go lucky ...the nurse thought the machine was broken...that ended up being her longest stay in the hospital which was 4 days. Right now shes getting out of her pnuemonia but her peak flow meter is still reading 100...(150 is her green zone 75-150 is yellow and below 75 is her red) shes is getting treatments every 4 hours and it works for 2 hours then shes back in the yellow....doc says its fine just got to watch and see if she goes in the red....well she hasnt got any lower so were still good till the pnuemonia is gone.....anyway I would love to hear storys about the flu and asthma and would like to help out with any of my experience with anyone else.....thanks for letting me join the group!! Guest guest
Welcome . It is so scary when your kids are sick. Much worse than when it is yourself. I am lucky neither of my kids have asthma or any other major issues. Just me. However, there are several people here with children with asthma or had asthma as children themselves. Ask away. I promise someone will answer. Even if it is to say " I don't know but I'll see what I can find out! " . I do the same thing as your daughter. There is no in between for me. Either I am very good or very bad. Learning when to say enough is enough and go to the doctor or hospital was the hardest thing for me to do. This is a very warm and caring group. I am certain you will find the support you so desprately need here. Madeline > > Just wanted to introduce myself.
