Guest guest
Hi, Jayne, <<<<I also experimented with aspirin for its anti-inflammatory effects but I'm allergic to the coating on on the low-dose/children' s one and get dizzy if I take the full-sized non-coated. I compromise with a half an adult aspirin every week, enough to keep my blood flowing but not enough to make me light-headed. Hope that helps someone. Jayne >>>> Fish oil ( or ther omega-3 and omega-6 oils, like evening primrose or borage, and flax, oils can also help decrease clotting, and shouldn't have the side effects of aspirin. But it takes 6 weeks to get full effect. Most vitamin stores (retail or e-tail) carry these oils. Puritan's Pride has a combination product that I find works well, and is relatively inexpensive. Guest guest
Well, I am feeling much better. My peak flows are good- I just blew solidly in the 500s which is my green zone...and thats AFTER being at Busch Gardens all day!! My sinuses are clear (thanks to the water rides...lol) and we had a great time. Yesterday I wasnt sure I was ok enough to go...Im sure glad it worked out. I think I had a problem with the cough syrup stuff that has the codeine in it. I took it Thursday evening and it helped the cough, but yesterday I felt really really bad most of the day. I considered coming home from work early b/c I was light headed and nauseous all morning...in addition to feeling bad in general. My face flushed bright red as well...but no fever (sure felt like it though). I cant totally describe how I felt, but I recall it happening once before after being sick and having taken codeine once (However at that point in time, I attributed it to being asleep, waking up for a fire call and being stupid enough to go knowing I was sick). I dont believe I will be taking that stuff again. I didnt start to feel better until after we went to his aunt & uncles house for dinner at 6pm...24 hours after I took the medicine. For now I am just experiencing the usual symptoms of no more prednisone. I always get sore across the back of my shoulders and neck whenever I come off prednisone. It feels like theres a giant bruise...sore but only if someone touches me. My husband is so sweet b/c he tried to give me a massage on my shoulders..it felt soo good in some ways but omg did it hurt at the same time! Find phone numbers fast with the New AOL Yellow Pages!
