Guest guest
hi i just came across this VIt D paper by Dr Ted Friedman; he is one of the only Endos i have read that i think is worth his salt (btw, he has Hashis as do some family members and he will prescriber NTH meds dosed to Free Ts =if patients do not do well on the t4, or t4 t3 combos... he has very interesting papers and work on Cushings patients at well and is outof UCLA etc. http://www.goodhormonehealth.com/VitaminD.pdf VIt D paper very interesting things; including the Number of tests he does to help get an ACcurate picture of person's Vit D status! including the Calcium test (Regular blood Calcium test???) and PTH test from reading this; i got the impression that he does not suggest taking VIt D supplements if you do not have a low (or lowest Normal?) vit D ? sadly my dr only ran the Vit D OH-25 test (which is the 'storage' form made by yoru liver. apparently the Kidneys then have to take that amount and do somehting to make the : Vit D 1-OH25? test (if i got that name right:) -Carol
