Guest guest
May 31 " Inner Harvest " Hazelden Meditation Series Experience is easier to digest in small bites than in large ones. When we worry about future events, we're asking for emotional indigestion. How much effort we waste when we try, through worry, to control future happenings! When we stay in the present, our experience unfolds gradually, bit by bit, in manageable proportions. Coping with actual situations is far easier than trying to handle imaginary ones. Our Higher Power gives us strength for today's tasks and pleasures. We can believe that when tomorrow comes, we'll have new energy for tomorrow's challenges. When we focus on now, just now, we discover that our ability to deal with current experience surprises us. We are fully adequate to the demands of the moment, since in the present we have access to a Power greater than our own. * Today, I will digest actual experience as it happens--in small pieces.
