It is time to draw the line and tell Texas that they MUST effectively education

and medically insure our children! No more children should be denied proven

medical treatments and proven educational methods.

Did you know that most insurance companies in Texas DO NOT cover therapies for

children with birth defects or disabilities such as Autism past the age of

three? Did you know that since most children with Autism are not diagnosed with

Autism until after the age of three, they will never receive therapy through

their insurance companies for their Autism?

Did you know that most public schools in Texas DO NOT provide effective

education for children with Autism without the parents' bringing a lawsuit? Did

you know that most parents with children with Autism cannot afford to sue their

school districts, and therefore, their children are not receiving an effective

education? This means that usually only those who can afford to hire lawyers

can get an effective education for their children with Autism.

Early diagnosis does not solve anything if there is not also early medical and

educational intervention. There cannot be intervention if both the insurance

companies and the school districts continue to deny our children.

Did you know that the incidence of Autism, worldwide, has gone from 1 in 10,000

to 1 in 300, in the past 10 years? This means that there is at least one child

with Autism in every elementary school in the United States. Autism is now the

most commonly diagnosed childhood disorder. Why are the numbers up? Will they

continue to rise?
