I am so sorry that your friends are moving away. I am going to pray that you

find a replacement pastor who will be just as good a friend. Sending many good

thoughts your way.

Hugs

Please don't feel bad June. You gave many years worth of emotional support.

I'm only sorry we couldn't give it back to you when you needed it.

Hi group,

I've been thinking of you all, but having a rough time and not on the

computer much. Went to a new pain doctor, and he switched my meds

around a couple of weeks ago. He took me off Neurontin and Ultram

and started me on Topamax and Duragesic patch (for those who don't

know me, I have OA, Fibro, and Dercum's Disease.) Two days into the

treatment, I had a " Dercum flare " with high fevers, and had to take

the patch off, so suffered through several days of fever, chills, and

pain. He also found something wrong with my neck, with pain around

some discs and tingling, so wants the neurologist to check it out

when I see him Feb. 3. That is very uncomfortable whenever I sit at

the desk, table, whatever.

I'm due for more surgery next Friday and a rather large blood draw to

send tissue samples and blood to England to the lab who is doing some

work on Dercum's. So I'm hoping for a snowy weekend so I can look

out my living room window as I recline on the sofa eating bonbons (or

carrot sticks, whatever) and not worry about doing anything. Maybe

find a cabana boy or 2 to wait on me? Reminds me, how is Alan doing

these days? Our little Allan is 10 months old now, as are is brother

and sister.

Add to the health problems the stress of the on-again divorce of our

daughter. Her husband moved out yesterday and it looks like final

this time. To further complicate things, it seems the problem is

that she and her brother in law have fallen in love (her husband's

brother) who is 20 years her senior. I'm leaving it in God's hands

as I haven't the strength to deal with it.

Keeping you all in my prayers and hoping your pain isn't too great

and your smiles are,

Peace,

Judi

That IS a bunch of rough stuff, Judi. So sorry to hear all that.

I hope can come to the right decision. I'm sure it must be very

difficult for you and Ron.

Who is the physician or which university in England is studying

Dercum's? That's a big positive.

I haven't heard from Al since his letter appeared in Arthritis Today. I

hope he's OK.

Hope you can feel better very soon.
