My name is Donnelly. I am from Idaho. I have been diagnosed with RA

since Feb 1999. I am 35 years old. I am currently taking Celebrex,

Arava, Prednisone and Plaquenil for the RA part and folic acid,

Prevacid and calcium. I am currently in the throws of another flare

that has been lasting since November. My RA has increased my Arava

from every other day to every day (I am allergic to metho; lost 70

pounds taking it). But to no avail. The strongest pain med she has

been willing prescribe is Darvocet which does absolutely nothing for

me. I keep taking them with the hope that maybe something will change

and they will work. My previous RD used vicoden which worked but his

answer to everything was to tell me to take 2 of the darned things at

a time every four hours instead of looking at anything else. Thus

the current RD. I was scheduled to see my doc at the end of Feb but

DH called and rescheduled for 10th of Feb with a will call for any

cancellations. I am currently unable to sleep more than 2 to 3 hours

at a time. This current flare is now interferring with my job, which

I love (educational aide to children with behavior disorders) and my

family (mom of blended family of 5 and grandma to 2).

What pain medications are on the market that people recommend that I

talk with my doc about?

What about meds like Enbrel should I talk with her about? (previously

on Enbrel)

What sleep aides should I talk with her about?

I would appreciate any help.

Hope to get to know you all better.

Glad to have found you.

Donnelly
