Guest guest
Hi everyone, I may not post much, but I enjoy listening to everyone. I am borrowing electricity right now to check my computer. My lights and water were cut on Friday. Don't have the funds to pay. Had to put my 7 and 9 year old with their father. The real nightmare was when the police stormed my front door yelling I was an unfit mother because my place was a mess. When I told the officer (the only female one we have here) that I have Fibromyalgia and need help cleaning she yelled in my face that that was no excuse. At that point I screamed in her face " you don't know anything about it so shut up about something you no nothing about " or something to that extent. I had had a bad enough day without an ignorant officer saying Fibro was " nothing " . The police asked for my children, but I had already placed them at their fathers. Someone, I think my sister, called the police on me and asked them to do a welfare check. Tomorrow I will talk to the chief of police about what happened since none of it makes sense. The female officer even calmed down when she realized I wasn't harboring kids in a house without lights and water. So I am faced with what has to be the worst time in my life. I even contemplated taking all my sleeping pills but truth is I don't want to die. I just want my life back to normal. I won't be able to read and write until such a time I can borrow an extension cord from the neighbor or get my lights turned back on (fat chance as I owe over $600!) Wish me luck. And if anyone has some good Fibro/CFS information they can submit to a small police force, it's in Stroud OK. Gentle Hugs, Joy
Guest guest
Hi Joy, I have yet to post on this group, but when I just read your post I had to say hello. I am also from oklahoma, claremore to be exact. and it is not very often I run into someone online from my state. I am so sorry to hear about what is going on with you right now. IT will get better, I know it will. " Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
