Guest guest
Hi I have atrial fibrillation, where the heart goes fast, At its worst I was in bed because every time I tried doing anything it set off again and I have symptoms with it, some people dont. Anyway, via the net I self diagnosed the condition (confirmed later) and looked what I could take to help it till seeing cardiologist. I tried magnesium and other things but for me, coenzyme q10 did the trick. I started with 30mg and upped as it is expensive, and for me, 90mg a day was my need, I noticed results quickly, certainly within the week, and actually felt my heart get stronger in itself, hard to explain that but brilliant, when I go t to the cardiology app I was so settled he took me off his books and said go back if it plays up again, and 5 years later is still stable. I wont be without my q10. Give it a go it may help you too. Just because 90mg is my dose doesnt mean its yours, you may need 30 or 200, but start small and work up every four or five days to find out. Take it with meals as it needs a little fat to work with and BTW if you take vit C with anything it makes it work better too. Carole Anyway, I don't feel much improvement yet on the heart palps--that's what my doc told me would get rid of it. She said nothing about when to take it.. do you take your thyroid pill in the morning? You have no concerns about taking your calcium pill so closely (at breakfast)? > > ~ >
Guest guest
Thanks so much for the rec on Coenzyme Q10 -- I remember taking it years ago but didn't notice much of a difference, but it's been a long time so maybe I'll give it a whirl again. I do actually test a little low in magnesium consistently so that's why I started there but you never know. Guest guest
hi, make sure you get vitamin c with Potasium. My potasium level gets low or I don't eat fruit that day my heart does that too. And eating fruit, or take one potasium pill and see if that helps. Please see dr too. They can check your levels. joan > > Hi > I have atrial fibrillation, where the heart goes fast, At its worst I was in bed because every time I tried doing anything it set off again and I have symptoms with it, some people dont. > > Anyway, via the net I self diagnosed the condition (confirmed later) and looked what I could take to help it till seeing cardiologist. Guest guest
So much can cause palps, can't it! I did have low potassium for a while when I was diagnosed with Hashis/ hypoT early on. But my potassium levels are always normal now--low normal, but definitely in the normal range. I try drinking a lot of coconut water for the electrolytes but it's never really improved things. ~s > > hi, make sure you get vitamin c with Potasium. Guest guest
Hi, my name is Ben and I just joined this group. I am a thirty seven year old male who has been diagnosed with Hashimoto's for almost twenty years. I have many questions about my health I hope to gain perspective on by listening to people with the same disease. Please tell me a little about yourself. Thank you for listening, Ben Subject: Re: palpatationsTo: Thyroiditis Date: Thursday, June 25, 2009, 7:19 AM So much can cause palps, can't it!I did have low potassium for a while when I was diagnosed with Hashis/ hypoT early on.
