Guest guest
Hi my name is Rasmussen and I am the care giver for both of my parents. My father who is 77 has had alzheimers for the last 10+ years. In the last 5 years he went threw a lot of changes and 2 years ago I brought him to the northwest and placed him in a facility where the doctor there diagnosed him with LBD and Parkinson's. He is very happy which I am thankful for but has started going into these little coma things for a day or two and then comes out of them being able to really connect and talk again (limited). He does not feed his self any longer and has a repetitive growl that he does. His speech is what I call salad talk. Getting him to make eye contact is very hard as well. I also have my mother 80 who has numerous health problems and this last year started showing strong signs of have alzheimers as well. My mother can not dress or get around on her own. I am glad to find this group and information about my dads LBD. I have seen a lot of people pass away this last 2 years. I learn more everyday but what I know about this is very little. I have read what is posted from the Alz. Society but what I really want to know is what I might expect from these little blank out events and anything else I can really learn. Thanks
