Hi! I'd posted several weeks ago (thanks to those who responded at that time!),

had my labs initially checked by (insurance) NP, TSH came back at 3.66 (0.5-5),

she would not test further as she stated it was " normal " .

About 2 weeks later found a dr. from

the thyroid list, the results from his tests were:

TSH: 2.47 (0.4 - 4.50)

Free T4 1.3 (0.8 - 1.8)

Free T3 283 (230-420)

Antibodies: TPO 38, range should be less than 35, other one had no number, but

was less than the range of 20.

He said he would prescribe a trial of Armour, due to low T3 rather than

antibodies, he said the antibodies might be from beginning, or resolving,

Hashi's. But he wanted me to try no yeast for a month, which I did, (I eat very

little bread or sugar anyway), I wish now I'd just started the pills back then.

I had him prescribe some NT about a week and a half ago, it should be in my

mailbox today.

In the meantime, the ZRT saliva labs I'd sent off for came back:

Estradiol 0.8 0.5-17 Postmenopausal (optimal 1.3-1.7)

Pregesterone 31 12-100 Postmenopausal

Ratio:Pg/E2 39L (Optimal: 100-500 when E2 1.3-3.3 pg/ml

Testosterone 14L 16-55 (Age Dependent)

DHEAS 6.0 2-23 (Age Dependent)

Cortisol Morning 5.1 3.7 - 9.5

Cortisol Noon 1.2 1.2 - 3.0

Cortisol Evening 0.5L 0.6 - 1.9

Cortisol Night 1.2H 0.4 - 1.0

I am feeling a lot better than I did, have gotten lots of rest, vitamins, etc.

Still have hoarseness, low body temps, few other symptoms, but am not " hypo "

like I was. Is this typical of Hashi's?

The NT is (32 grams?) according to the pharmacist.

I'm thinking that, even though I'm feeling better, that I haven't been " optimum "

for years, and that from what I've read, the NT will " level " me out, avoiding

any further Hashi's episodes? As I don't want to go thru this again, think I've

been doing it for years, just not as bad as this last time.

And that my adrenals are probably a bit better now than when tested (6-26, and

even then, I wasn't feeling as bad as originally), so it's ok to start the NT?

In a week and a half, I have two weekend deals coming up that I want to feel

good for, and am a bit afraid of starting to take the NT, then not have it

adjusted right by then, and therefore feel cruddy.

Any comments on my lab work or ramblings would be much appreciated....!

Thanks
