Guest guest
Hello again, I just have to express my .... whatever it would be in English. Just listen to this: A woman had been suffering with migrain for seventeen days. Then she has a treatment with my friend, the macrobiotic doctor, and the pain goes away. She also has a consultation with him and he lets her know that if she doesn't do anything she has the possibility of inviting both diabetes and cancer into her body. She wants to start a fifteen day program of treatment with food. She has a sixteen year old daughter whom has had something wrong with her heart since she was a baby. The doctors cannot figure out what is wrong with her. The girl is brought to see Jerome, the macrobiotic doctor, who says she can become much better. Mother and daughter will do the treatmant together. Then - after only one day - they decide not to the treatment after all. WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH PEOPLE??????? Guest guest
> I know it can be very frustrating to see people avoid what we would consider 'common sense'. I am very concerned for this women and her daughter but pray that she (and others) will soon 'see the light'. When I was in my non-macro lifestyle (the first 32 years of my life), I knew my lifestyle was causing headaches, heart problems, backaches, stomach aches, and lots of other aliments that were signs of disease and dysfunction. But, I couldn't imagine another lifestyle that worked for me that didn't include animal products, processed foods, florescent lights, plastics, vegetable-less meals, and refined sweeteners. Whew! I get sick now just thinking about it. But, until a person reaches that point, there isn't much that can be done to convience the slackers. I would be interested, Anja, in knowing more about your transition to m.b.
Guest guest
Hello again, I just have to express my .... whatever it would be in English. Just listen to this: Anja, Thanks so much for venting here. I know it's so frustrating isn't it? I think there are just so many ppl in the world who are afraid to change from what they know as " reality " . To change their diet and cure from disease is NOTHING the medical profession would have said it possible. It's a shame. I was at the vet the other day, holistic vet, she works with all sorts of groovy stuff and is amazed at how we eat, says we're the healthiest clients she has. Her assistant has cancer, had a hysterectomy and going for chemo. The doc has told her some stuff to do and I offered some help she said she can't handle it right now sooooooooooooo she'd prefer to go do some chemo? This is a strange world. Sad. I hope this woman comes back to you with her daughter. How are you doing? Reggie A woman had been suffering with migrain for seventeen days. Guest guest
Anja, Yea, well, if you find a money tree, give me a map please. He's leaving you again? what's with this man? Why does he spend his time healing ppl rather than entertaining you? Are you really proud of him? Any chance you'll do an American tour with him one of these days? Don't these computer genius' make you crazy? I'm shocked I can turn it off sometimes when it's acting funny. Fall here in Florida is about 85 F. Reg Thanks, I am doing fine. Wouln't mind a bit more money thogh (who wouldn't?) but I manage. I am in a course these days (until 7th Oct.). My friend, the macrobiotic doctor, will soon be leaving for Seattle again. One of the uiniversities there has expressed their interest in doing an asthma project. Macrobiotic food as medicine, of course.... I am able to use the computer here at the course, my own is not functioning very well. And I am so " green " ; give me an electric cord longer than one meter and I go all confused and have no idea of what to do. :-) ha-ha.... I hope you are all doing fine and wish you a good fall (spring for those who live on the other side of the world). AnJA
Guest guest
Anja, Thanks for sharing your story for those that don't know. If you don't mind my asking, what do you do for a paycheck? I think you said before but my memory isn't what it used to be. You didn't tell the romantic part of the story!!! Reggie Hello, I was 35 when I changed my foods into macrobiotic. For a few years I had felt I wanted to become a vegetarian (because I didn't know of anything else) but it was kind of hard to change as I had a husband and children and I didn't know anything about balancing my food. After my divorce I was asked by a friend of mine to come for a consultation with a very special man, as she called him. He was able to read your life energies on all levels (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually) and could tell which diseases you had or could get. That was Jerome, Europe's only official macrobiotic doctor (as far as I know). When he told me how sick I was and that I could become better by eating the right kind of food I moved from Norway to Spain to have my treatment and also to study with him. I got rid of PCO, my cancer and a lot of other bothers; little stuff that you sort of get accustomed to and think it is normal for you. I have a long list of things that changed to the better. As a matter of fact, I have written a book with Jerome about how we got into macrobiotics, how we met and about our experiences with food as medicine. After studying and working with Jerome I have gained the title " Macrobiotic Technical Specialist " (which is like a nurse for those who choose a macrobiotic treatment). This is what I would like to work with but, people here in Norway are not quite believing that food can help you get rid of diseases and help you become so much better. I have a hard time finding work, unfortunately. But I suppose that in time things will change. AnJA
