Guest guest
Dear , Thank you for asking: we will have a panel meeting and public hearing on Artecoll at the FDA in Washington next week on 2/28/2003 - keep your fingers crossed.- In my interview with you, I probably referred to Artecoll as a long lasting filler substance, even if New-Fill will do its effect in the cheek for 6-9 months as well. Silicone fluid and acrylamides will dislocate downwards , for sure, since they evoke very little fibrous tissue and can sink, therefore. China has some horrifying cases. In contrary, the microspheres in an Artecoll - implant are stimulating 80 % of fibrosis from the patient's own connective tissue , and the resorbable New-Fill beads about 40 %. Acrylamides and silicone only about 2-5%. The technique of injecting multiple tunnels in the cheeks in multiple sessions is about the same for all injectables. Resorbable or permanent is the question ! From Dr. Carruthers are coming some great lipodystrophy cases treated with Artecoll . If we are successful and get approval, we will ask the FDA of starting a clinical trial with lipodystrophy immediately.- With my best wishes and regards, sincerely, Gottfried The Gottfried Lemperle, MD, PhD Division of Plastic Surgery, UCSD Vergel Program for Wellness Restoration, PoWeR An All Volunteer Non-Profit 501 © 3 Corporation Don't Lose Your Body to HIV, click here Facial Reconstructive Procedures Click to subscribe to lipodystrophy "A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings, and learn how by his own thought to derive benefit from his illnesses".
